WAYNESVILLE, Mo. (April 6, 2010) — The Waynesville Tigers got off to a good start with a home run by Patrick Holt on the first pitch Tuesday against the Hillcrest baseball team, but that was the highlight of the game for the Tigers, who lost 16 to 6.

Between innings two and five, Hillcrest hit three homeruns by Dillion Hanson and Michael Esther, respectively. In the sixth inning, Waynesville brought in two runs off a home run from Damion Fadl and a two-run single by Kevin Williams to make the score 7 to 6. In the top of the seventh, a grand slam by Hanson opened up the score and by the end of the seventh, Hillcrest won 16 to 6.

Dillion Hanson gets game ball for his two home runs and seven runs batted in.

“Going 3 for 4 with two runs batted in was a good game for me, but I wish the team had done better,” said Williams, the Tigers’ second baseman.

Waynesville’s next home game is Thursday, April 8, at 4:30 p.m., where the Tigers will face the Camdenton Lakers.
