WAYNESVILLE, Mo. (May 12, 2010) — The Waynesville varsity baseball team continued its losing season Monday afternoon at home with a 4 to 1 loss to Helias.

The game was closer than the score indicated, with little offensive production from either Helias or Waynesville.

James Holler was the only member of Waynesville to have an RBI. Waynesville had opportunities in first and fourth innings with runners in scoring position but failed to bring them home. Sam Dowling had two hits on the night but nobody was able to reinforce him while he was on base.

David Faulkner, filling in for Patrick Holt, had some offensive production and pitched a solid game through six innings giving up four runs to Helias batters.

In previous play, Parkview won their Tuesday afternoon home match last week against Waynesville by 11 to 5 on May 4. Patrick Holt, David Faulkner and James Holler each had two hits to provide Waynesville with a few runs in a large defeat for Waynesville.
