| Two rollovers injure three people Wednesday morning, Thursday night |

State troopers arrested the driver of this rolled-over Jeep Grand Cherokee for driving while intoxicated on Thursday night, but left it at the scene due to a tornado warning.

CROCKER/EVENING SHADE, Mo. (April 10, 2009) — Two separate one-vehicle rollovers totaled both vehicles, sent three people to area hospitals, and led to one driver being arrested for driving while intoxicated, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Troopers reported that Christin N. Poirier, 19, of Waynesville, had been northbound on Route AW about a mile north of Evening Shade in a 2007 Ford Focus at 10:44 a.m. Wednesday when she ran off the left side of the roadway leading to Fort Leonard Wood, overcorrected, and her vehicle overturned several times.
Poirier, who had been wearing her seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Her passenger, Gabriel M. Griffin, 4, also of Waynesville, was in a child restraint but suffered moderate injuries. Both were transported to General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital by ambulance.
Her car was removed by Jack’s Towing of St. Robert.
Handling a Thursday night rollover was made more complicated by tornado warnings and heavy rain, forcing Crocker firefighters and state troopers to leave a wrecked white 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee laying on its passenger side in a roadside ditch a half-mile west of Crocker, just east of the junction of Highway U and Belle Road.
Troopers reported that Marc A. Faulkner, 31, of Crocker, had been eastbound on Highway U when he ran off the left side of the roadway at 9 p.m. and overturned several times before striking a fence and a tree before coming to rest.
Faulker, who had been wearing his seat belt, suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Pulaski County Ambulance District personnel to St. John’s Hospital in Lebanon, where troopers reported he was arrested at 10:52 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated. Faulkner was subsequently released from custody.
In an unrelated incident, state troopers arrested Timothy J. Borgman, 27, of Lebanon, at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday in Pulaski County on a felony warrant from probation and parole for neglect of a child and for driving while suspended. Borgman was taken to the Laclede County Jail where he was held without bond.
