Two Friday wrecks injure three
PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. (Nov. 22, 2008) — Two Friday crashes in Pulaski County injured three people, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash at the junction of Highway O and Highway 28 south of Dixon about 7:48 a.m. and found that the wreck had totaled both vehicles.

According to state patrol reports, Bridgett R. Twyman, 26, of Columbia, had been northbound on Route O in a 2002 Oldsmobile attempting to turn eastbound onto Highway 28, failed to stop at the stop sign, and turned into the path of a westbound 2000 Jeep driven by Danielle M. Eads, 23, of Vienna.

Both drivers suffered moderate injuries despite wearing their seat belts. Troopers reported that both were transported by ambulance; Eads was transported to Capitol Regional Hospital by Dixon Ambulance District paramedics but the state patrol report indicated that Dixon paramedics transported Twyman to both Phelps County Regional Medical Center and Capitol Regional Hospital.

Both vehicles were removed by Pro Tow.

A one-vehicle rollover at 9:55 p.m. Friday created some initial confusion when emergency responders were told of a wreck in Turkey Ridge but informed that the driver had already left the scene for medical treatment.

When troopers arrived, they found a rolled-over 1993 Chevrolet pickup about four miles north of Interstate 44 on Route W. Troopers eventually determined that the pickup had been driven by Nathaniel H. Brickner, 16, of Laquey, who had been southbound when he ran off the left side of the roadway on a curve, slid off the roadway, and rolled onto its top.

Brickner sought treatment at the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital Emergency Room for moderate injuries, troopers reported. He hadn’t been wearing his seat belt and his pickup, which was totaled, was left at the scene of the crash to be removed later by the owner.

State troopers reported three arrests on Saturday of Pulaski County residents.

At 10:30 a.m. troopers in Phelps County arrested two Crocker residents, Alton T. Johnson, 40, and Angela F. Dollar, 46, and took both to the Phelps County Jail. Johnson was arrested and held without bond on Phelps County and Rolla city warrants for failure to appear in court as well as state patrol charges of possession of marijuana and driving while his license was revoked. Dollar was arrested on a Maries County felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Troopers reported that Johnson was held without bond but Dollar was eligible for bond.

At 1:10 p.m., state troopers working in Pulaski County arrested Nicholas J. Kissel, 19, of Waynesville, on a Richland city municipal warrant for failure to appear in court as well as for driving while his license was suspended and failure to use his seat belt. Troopers transported Kissel to the Pulaski County Jail where he was eligible for bond.
