ST. ROBERT, Mo. (Feb. 2, 2009) — Two Dixon teens were seriously injured in a Monday morning wreck north of St. Robert, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

Troopers reported that Daniel L. Ellzey, 18, was southbound on Highway Y at 10:45 a.m. about five miles north of the St. Robert city limits when he crossed the centerline in his 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a tree and came to rest.

Neither Ellzey nor his passenger, Cody Nelson, 17, had been wearing their seat belts. Both were transported to Phelps County Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

Ellzey’s pickup was totaled and removed by Jack’s Towing.

In an unrelated incident, state troopers reported Monday that they arrested Roger D. Hoover, 42, of Eufaula, Okla., at 4:35 p.m. in Pulaski County on a fugitive warrant from Washington County, Ark., dated May 14, 2008, charging him with criminal nonsupport. Hoover was transported by state troopers to the Pulaski County jail where he was eligible for bond.
