ST. ROBERT, Mo. (March 27, 2009) — Three St. Robert residents were involved in separate crashes in Springfield and in rural Pulaski County that injured five people on Friday, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

Troopers reported that Jesse W. Dupert, 25, of St. Robert, was driving a 2003 Toyota eastbound at 1:35 a.m. on U.S. Route 160 about 30 feet south of the Springfield city limits when he failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck broadside by a 1992 Honda driven southbound by Ryan J. Carnett, 27, of Nix.

Dupert, Carnett, and Dupert’s passenger, Kimberly A. Rosenwald, 30, of Springfield, were all moderately injured and treated at Springfield hospitals. Dupert was treated at Cox South Hospital, Rosenwald was treated at St. John’s Hospital and Carnett was taken by private vehicle to Cox South Hospital. All had been wearing their seat belts, troopers reported.

Both vehicles were totaled and removed by Henry’s Wrecker.

At 9 p.m. Friday, Amanda K. Green, 28, of St. Robert, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier westbound on Route Z about a third of a mile east of the Highway 28 junction at Exit 163 of Interstate 44 when she ran off the right side of the roadway, returned to the roadway, ran off the right side of the roadway again and struck a ditch.

Green and her passenger, Brenda J. Bailey, 44, also of St. Robert, both suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla by Pulaski County Ambulance District personnel. Neither had been wearing their seat belts, troopers reported.
