The following incidents were reported by the St. Robert Police Department on Sunday, May 1, 2011:
12:03 a.m.: Police responded to Area 151 for a report of an assault and arrested one woman from St. Robert.
12:21 a.m.: Police issued a written warning at the Big Louie’s parking lot on Highway Z to a Rolla man for an equipment violation on a 2007 Chevrolet.
12:39 a.m.: Police issued a written warning at Sunset Village on Highway Z to a Dixon man for an equipment violation on a 1997 Nissan.
12:48 a.m.: Police issued a written warning at the Holiday Inn on Highway Z to a Hastings woman for a moving violation while driving a red SUV.
1:08 a.m.: Police issued a written warning at the concrete plant on Highway Z to a Chesterton man for a moving violation while driving a black Ford.
1:21 a.m.: Police stopped a man from Saudi Arabia east of Belle Trailer Court driving a 2011 Mercedes but took no action beyond advising him of driving regulations after determining he was not familiar with the area.
1:32 a.m.: Police issued a verbal warning at the Interstate 44 on-ramp at Exit 161 to a St. Robert man driving a 2000 Ford with a driver’s side taillight broken from a recent accident.
1:32 a.m.: Police responded to Shenanigan’s for a narcotics violation and took a report.
1:43 a.m.: Police issued a written warning at the Interstate 44 on-ramp at Exit 159 to a Waynesville man driving a 1992 Lexus for an equipment violation.
1:47 a.m.: Police stopped a Dixon man on eastbound Old Route 66 driving a 2005 Nissan and issued a written warning for speeding after determining the driver had been drinking but was not intoxicated enough for an arrest.
1:50 a.m.: Police stopped a Grady man at the corner of Marshall and Eastlawn driving a 2002 Chevrolet but had to leave due to another call.
1:52 a.m.: Police received a 911 Center report of a vehicle crash with possible injuries at Lafayette and Zeigenbein Roads just outside the St. Robert city limits involving a green Eclipse in a new housing development. After determining any injuries were minor, officers called for deputies due to being a possible drunk driving case. Sheriff’s dispatcher informed city police that all deputies were in Dixon; state troopers arrived at 2:16 a.m. and took over the case.
2:08 a.m.: Police issued a written warning at Highway Z to a man from Watertown, N.Y., for impeding the flow of traffic while driving a 2008 Cadillac.
2:43 a.m.: Police issued a written warning at Highway Z to a Rolla man for failure to maintain the right half of the roadway while driving a 2009 Lexus.
3:28 a.m.: Police issued a written warning at Highway Y at Harmony Lane for failure to maintain the right half of the roadway while driving a 1999 Ford.
7:37 a.m.: Police cited a Fort Leonard Wood woman at Eastlawn and Missouri Avenue for speeding 43 mph in a 25 mph zone while driving a 2010 Nissan.
8:59 a.m.: Police issued a verbal warning at Walmart to a Dixon man for speeding while driving a 2008 Chevrolet.
9:25 a.m.: Police issued a written warning at Missouri Avenue to a man from Reston, Va., for speeding 53 in a 45 mph zone while driving a 2008 Volkswagen.
10:08 a.m.: Police issued a written warning at Hickory Hills to a Fort Leonard Wood woman for speeding 44 mph in a 35 mph zone while driving a 2004 BMW.
10:28 a.m.: Police issued a written warning at southbound Missouri Avenue to a Fort Leonard Wood woman for speeding 45 mph in a 35 mph zone while driving a 2003 Mercedes.
10:30 a.m.: Dispatchers received a call from a man at Papa John’s Pizza asking how he could cut the power to the facility. Officers responded since the call appeared suspicious; upon arrival, officers found the alarm company was present assisting him with a keypad malfunction that was keeping him from opening for business.
12:31 p.m.: Police issued a written warning at southbound Missouri Avenue to a man from Fayetteville, N.C., for speeding 54 mph in a 45 mph zone while driving a 1998 Ford.
1:24 p.m.: Dispatchers received a report of a black 2012 Mazda being driven in a careless and imprudent manner that was now parked at the Quality Inn. Officers could not make contact and took no action. The woman making the initial report called back at 6:25 a.m. stating that the driver “stopped in front of the reporting party and harassed them by giving them dirty looks” and was staying in the Quality Inn. Officers were busy on another call and could not respond; in the meantime, the reporting party called back and said the owner of the vehicle “brought his son to both houses to apologize for his behavior.”
2:09 p.m.: Dispatchers received a report of eight to 10 vehicles parked in handicapped spots at Wal-Mart that do not have handicapped plates or stickers; caller said he is handicapped and finally found a parking spot in the middle of the lot. Officers responded and found only one of the vehicles didn’t have a handicapped plate and that vehicle had a disabled veteran plate.
2:13 p.m.: Dispatchers received a report of a $50 gas drive-off from Cenex; officers responded and took a report.
2:20 p.m.: Police cited a St. Robert woman at Foxworth for failing to obey a red light while driving a 2002 Lincoln.
3:16 p.m.: Police cited a Waynesville man at Family Dollar on Eastlawn for speeding 40 mph in a 25 mph zone while driving a 2003 Toyota.
5:18 p.m.: Police cited a Waynesville man at the Super 8 Motel for failing to affix a plate to the rear of a 1985 Honda.
5:27 p.m.: Police issued a written warning at St. Robert Boulevard to a St. Robert man for not using wipers when his headlights were on.
5:56 p.m.: Sheriff’s dispatchers called city dispatchers reporting a 15-year-old’s parents will not allow him to return home. Police responded and after multiple calls reconnected the mother and her son by 8:30 p.m.
6:12 p.m.: Dispatchers received a call reporting an unwanted person in a driveway on Herbert Drive. Officers responded, determined it was a verbal rather than a physical disturbance, and advised the people to stay away from each other as well as explaining how to obtain a restraining order preventing further contact.
8:23 p.m.: Dispatchers received a report of a vehicle in the ditch at westbound Interstate 44 at mile marker 159.6 with its hazards on. Officers responded, found a 1995 BMW had slid off into the ditch at Exit 161 with no injuries, and had Jack’s Towing remove the car.
8:47 p.m.: State troopers called requesting that police to notify a father than his son has been involved in a Camden County accident. City police were not immediately available and at 9:19 p.m. determined the father lived outside city limits. City dispatchers called county dispatchers at 9:33 p.m.; deputies subsequently responded and notified the family.
10:17 p.m.: Police conducted checks on four city wells and two county wells within city limits.
11:18 p.m.: St. Robert police conducted a canine drug search of county jail cells; nothing found.
