Skelton issues statement on the passing of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Aug. 26, 2009) — Congressman Ike Skelton (D-Mo.) released the following statement today on the passing of Senator Edward M. Kennedy:
“An important chapter in American history ended with the death of Sen. Ted Kennedy. For decades, he was an inspiration to those privileged to know him and to work with him. Ted Kennedy’s unwavering commitment to the dignity of human life led him to speak out on behalf of those in need. My thoughts and prayers go to his wife, Vicki, his children, and the entire Kennedy family,” said Skelton.
