Rollover west of Dixon injures Crocker man

DIXON, Mo. (Dec. 20, 2008) — A rollover crash west of Dixon shortly before midnight on Friday sent a vehicle careening off Highway C dozens of yards into a field.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, Jeffrey P. Clubb, 25, of Crocker, was eastbound about a mile west of Dixon in a 2000 Suzuki Vitara when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the centerline, ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch, vaulted over the ditch and overturned several times.

Clubb, who troopers reported had not been wearing his seat belt, suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Dixon Ambulance District paramedics to Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla.

His vehicle was totaled and removed by Pro-Tow Wrecker from Dixon.

Dixon Rural Fire Protection District volunteers assisted with traffic control, shutting down the westbound lane of Highway C for more than an hour to prevent traffic from impairing rescue personnel work.

In an unrelated Friday incident, troopers reported that they arrested Kevin M. Bowers, 21, of St. Robert, at 12:45 p.m. on a Bourbon Police Department misdemeanor warrant for speeding and also on charges of not failure to use his seat belt. Troopers reported they took Bowers to the Pulaski County Jail where he was eligible for bond.
