Plato woman hurt after hitting tree in car crash

PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. (July 30, 2022) -- A Friday afternoon wreck injured a Plato woman, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

Troopers reported that Dorothy L. Petty, 65, had been driving her 2014 Ford Escape westbound in Felton at 2:43 p.m. two miles south of Highway 32 when she ran off the right side of the roadway and hit a tree, suffering minor injuries and causing moderate damage to her vehicle.

Petty, who had been wearing her seatbelt, was transported for treatment by private vehicle. Her Ford Escape was removed by private vehicle.

In unrelated recent incidents, troopers reported the following arrests:

* Christian D. Zeigenbein, 30, of Richland, was arrested at 9:06 a.m. on Thursday, July 28 in Pulaski County on charges of misdemeanor driving while intoxicated as a prior offender, driving while his license was revoked, speeding, and not using his seatbelt. He was transported to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department jail and released.

* William Cato, 50, of Richland, was arrested at 10:53 p.m. on Thursday, July 28 in Laclede County on charges of felony drug trafficking and felony child welfare endangerment. He was transported to the Laclede County Sheriffs Office jail and kept on a 24-hour hold.
