Pulaski County Circuit Court Report 5/13/2009
Officials with the Pulaski County Circuit Court have reported the following actions in recent cases: Joseph C. Esparza, 20, of Dixon, pleaded innocent on May 13 to a Class D felony charge of escape from custody accusing him of escaping from the custody of the Pulaski County Jail on May 6 while being held in custody after arrest for a felony county of forgery. Associate Circuit Judge Colin Long scheduled a June 25 preliminary hearing, ordered him to personally appear and set his bond at $50,000. Robert Fortner, 30, of Dixon, pleaded innocent on May 13 to a Class A felony charge of second-degree murder accusing him of acting in concert with another with the purpose of causing serious physical injury to David A. Blankenship and causing his death on May 10 by repeatedly striking him with his hands and feet. Associate Circuit Judge Colin Long scheduled a June 1 preliminary hearing, ordered him to personally appear and set his bond at $1 million cash. Ashley N. Gilbert, 17, of Dixon, pleaded innocent on May 13 to a Class A felony charge of second-degree murder accusing her of acting in concert with another with the purpose of causing serious physical injury to David A. Blankenship and causing his death on May 10 by repeatedly striking him with his hands and feet.
