April 2009 Crocker election results
In the April 2009 Crocker elections, voters turned out nearly all of the incumbent officeholders in races for the Crocker city council, Crocker R-II School Board and Crocker Rural Fire Protection District.

The winning candidates for the city council were newcomer Linda Wilson, who defeated long-time incumbent Mayor James Morgan, newcomer Lorie Layman who defeated Ward I Alderman Jim Patton for a regular two-year term, and newcomer Herman Goodrich who squeaked out a narrow three-vote margin of victory over incumbent Ward II Alderman Kimberly Skaggs-Henson. Morgan and Patton lost by margins of about three-to-one over their rivals. The only successful council incumbent was Jeff Curry, who managed to hold on to his one-year council seat in Ward I but lost his seat on the Crocker R-II School Board, along with incumbent board president Charles Worstell, in a clean sweep of the board members running for re-election. In a four-member field, newcomers John Riffe and Rebecca Ruckman Posten won their first terms on the school board.

On the fire board, incumbent Fire Capt. Robert Ishmael, who also serves as the Crocker police chief, retained his seat. One incumbent fire board member declined to run for re-election and the new fire board member will be Randall Moore..
