Jack's Towing personnel work Friday morning to remove a crashed car on Highway Y south of the Riddle Bridge.
NEEDMORE, Mo. (UPDATED 4:30 p.m., Feb. 13, 2009) — A one-car Friday morning crash on Highway Y south of the Riddle Bridge injured two Dixon residents, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

Waynesville firefighters, Dixon Ambulance District paramedics and state troopers responded to a wrecked white 1999 Ford Contour that veered off the east side of Highway Y about 10:55 a.m. and landed partially off the roadway.

Troopers reported that Kari R. Murdock, 21, had been southbound when she ran off the right side of the road, struck a mailbox, travelled back across the roadway, and came to rest against a fence.

Murdock and her passenger, Keith B. Taylor, 39, both suffered moderate injuries and were transported by Dixon paramedics to Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla. Murdock had been wearing her seat belt but Taylor had not, according to state patrol reports.

Jack's Towing removed the vehicle, which sustained moderate damage to its underbody and passenger side.
