Two locals hurt in separate one-vehicle crashes Saturday, Monday
PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. (Feb. 9, 2009) — Two separate one-vehicle crashes on Saturday and Monday injured three people, according to Missouri State Highway patrol reports.

Troopers reported that at 10:04 p.m. Saturday, Antonne L. Valdez, 31, of Fort Leonard Wood, was driving a 2003 Ford Mustang eastbound on Interstate 44 two miles west of Lebanon when his car had a tire failure, ran off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail head-on before coming to rest in the road.

Valdez was not hurt, but his passenger, Sondra K. Rosario, 41, of Laquey, suffered moderate injuries and was transported by St. John’s Ambulance to St. John’s Hospital in Lebanon. Both had been wearing their seat belts.

The Mustang was extensively damaged and removed by Steve’s Towing.

Fort Leonard Wood personnel confirmed that Valdez is an E-5 sergeant in training at Company B of the 84th Chemical Battalion at Fort Leonard Wood.

On Monday afternoon, Mary E. Terrell, 57, of Dixon, was southbound on Hartford Road 2.5 miles north of St. Robert driving a 2005 Ford at 12:50 p.m. when she ran off the right edge of the roadway and struck a tree, totaling her vehicle.

Terrell, who had been wearing her seat belt, suffered only minor injuries and was transported by Dixon Ambulance District paramedics to Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla.

Her vehicle was removed by Jack’s Towing.

In a Sunday evening incident in Laclede County, troopers arrested Sean M. Gilpatrick, 22, of Laquey at 10:20 p.m. on charges of driving while intoxicated by drugs, exceeding the posted speed limit, and failure to drive within the right half of the roadway.

Troopers reported that Gilpatrick was taken to the Laclede County Jail and placed on a 12-hour hold.
