Waynesville man moderately injured in Wednesday morning rollover

WAYNESVILLE, Mo. (Jan. 23, 2013) — An early Wednesday morning rollover totaled a Waynesville man’s vehicle and caused moderate injuries, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

Troopers reported that Darren G. Pope, 52, had been driving a 1999 Jeep Cherokee northbound on Cape Girardeau County Road 450 a mile north of Jackson when he failed to negotiate a curve at 2:30 a.m., ran off the roadway and overturned.

Pope, who had been wearing his seatbelt, was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. His vehicle was removed by Kosmetic Kar Doctor of Jackson.
