PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. (Dec. 31, 2012) — Haven’t paid your taxes yet? Today is the last day to avoid penalties, and while most county offices are closed today, the first floor of the Pulaski County Courthouse is open for business so County Collector Terri Mitchell can receive payments from last-minute taxpayers.
Mitchell’s office will be open until 1 p.m. today, and in-person payments are the only option for taxpayers who want to pay via cash. Alternatives exist, however, including payments via debit card or credit card at the county collector’s website, linked here: http://www.pulaskicollector.com/ or mailed via check or money order to the collector’s office at 301 Historic Rt. 66 E, Suite 110, Waynesville, MO 65583. Taxes are considered late unless they have a Dec. 31 postmark, so taxpayers who choose to pay by mail should check the closure time for their local post office.
According to Mitchell, there is a 2.5 percent fee for those using the website or in-person payments with a debit card or credit card, or a minimum fee of $1.50. Those using the e-check service will be billed a flat fee of $1.50.
