Waynesville and Crocker schools still open, most others closed Friday

PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. (March 1, 2019)  Four area school districts had already announced closures Thursday night for today, Friday March 1, but as of 10 p.m. Thursday, the Waynesville R-VI School District and Crocker R-II School are still having classes, with no announcement yet from the Swedeborg R-III Schools.

The Laquey School District was the first to close at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Richland R-4 School District at 6:15 p.m., the Plato R-V School District at 6:20 p.m. and the Dixon R-I School District at 6:24 p.m. All four districts have large rural areas with gravel roads that sometimes pose serious travel difficulties for school buses.
