One person shot at OB's Billiards in Saint Robert; charges expected soon
SAINT ROBERT, Mo. (Feb. 8, 2010) — One person is in the intensive care unit at Fort Leonard Wood following an early Monday morning shooting at OB’s Billiards in St. Robert.

Names of the victim and alleged shooter have not yet been released by St. Robert police pending filing of charges. According to Det. Doug Cooley, his department has requested that prosecutors file charges of first-degree assault.

St. Robert police say they responded to a 12:08 a.m. call reporting that a man was swinging a bottle at the pool hall, located near the Waynesville-St. Robert city limits at 982 Old Route 66. St. Robert police responded along with other area police agencies, and while en route, were advised by Pulaski County 911 dispatchers that shots had been fired at the pool hall; emergency responders later determined that the victim had a single gunshot wound to the abdomen.

“After officers arrived on scene, several individuals were taken into custody for questioning,” according to an official statement from police. “At this time, the victim is out of surgery and recovering in the intensive care unit located at Fort Leonard Wood.”
