Pulaski County Commission
The Pulaski County Commission will not meet on Monday, Jan. 18, due to Martin Luther King Day. The commission’s next scheduled meeting is on Thursday, Jan. 21, for which the agenda has not yet been published.

Swedeborg R-III School Board
The Swedeborg R-III School Board will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 18, in the school auditorium. Agenda items include a special meeting to swear in new board member Judy Moss and a discussion of responsibilities of board members followed by a 7:05 p.m. regular meeting with agenda items including a tax levy meeting; new business of setting meeting dates and times, presentation of board member recognition awards, program evaluations, a MSBA training segment, NCLB checklist results, and Race to the Top program potentials; a financial report; other items previously discussed with the administration; and a closed session for legal, personnel, and student discipline matters along with a superintendent evaluation.

Pulaski County Ambulance Board
The Pulaski County Ambulance Board will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 18, in the Laquey Ambulance Base, which is a change from the regular meeting location. Agenda items include administrative reports on operations and statistics as well as a closed session for a legal matter, and the 2010 budget.

St. Robert City Council
The St. Robert City Council will meet at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, in city hall. Agenda items include old and new business of ordinances accepting Locust Court and part of Ridgeview Drive in Woodridge Subdivision and accepting the April Drive cul-de-sac as city streets, an ordinance approving an agreement between the city, Central Missouri Transfer and Thomas Construction to transport Ramada Inn waste to the Hartville Landfill, and a closed session for real estate and personnel matters, an ordinance to purchase a 2010 Freightliner fire engine from Fire Master Fire Equipment, and an ordinance approving an enhanced enterprise zone; comments by city administrative staff; comments by aldermen; setting of committee meeting times; comments by the mayor; and a closed session for legal, real estate and personnel matters.

Waynesville R-VI School Board
The Waynesville R-VI School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18, in the East Elementary School library for a study session followed by a 6:20 p.m. public hearing on the proposed 2010 school calendar and followed by the regular board meeting at 6:30 p.m. Agenda items for the study session include presentations on the Early Childhood Center project and CYB Family Life Consultants followed by a closed session. Agenda items for the regular meeting include citizen comments and written communications; citizen updates by Fort Leonard Wood command representatives and district announcements; staff recognitions of the CTA Spotlight on Education; discussion items of school board recognition week from Jan. 24 to 30, first reading of revised job descriptions, and evaluation of the English Language Learners program; action items of second reading of the 2010-2011 school calendar, certification of the annual school board election ballot, architect’s contracts for the East ADA playground and the Early Childhood Center, and revision of the 2010 budget; and a closed session for real estate and personnel matters.

Richland Municipal Utilities Board
The Richland Municipal Utilities Board will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, in city hall. Agenda items include comments by visitors Bill and Sally Walters of Richland Fas-Stop; unspecified old business; unspecified utility superintendent business; city administrator business of a final grade for Joey Lotzer’s third-year apprentice, natural gas matters, an energy audit and the MPUA program, and pool matters; utility board member business of Sho-Me Power; unspecified mayoral business; and a closed session for legal, real estate and contract matters.

Richland R-IV School Board
The Richland R-IV School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, in the high school library. Agenda items include visitor comments including presentation of the Sellers-Sexton Teacher of he Quarter award; old business of tuition; new business of school board recognition week, school board election updates and certification of candidates, review and evaluations of the food service program and the school board, and a district report card; reports from the elementary, junior high and high school principals; other items presented by board members and the superintendent; and a closed session for personnel matters.

Richland City Council
The Richland City Council will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, in city hall. Agenda items include unspecified old business; comments by visitors including John Parrish on health insurance and an auditor from Davis Lynn and Moots; police business of an activity report; city attorney business of an ordinance for Pulaski County 911 to handle city dispatching and a street vacating request by Todd Bailey of United Country Realty; alderman business of a resolution authorizing the Meramec Regional Planning Commission to analyze and develop a city hazard mitigation plan, an ordinance to purchase a police vehicle with a USDA Rural Development community facilities grant and Alderman Murphy concerns; city administrator business of a Richland motto, banner program, Sho-Me Power, and an energy audit; mayoral business of reappointing J.R. Homan and Corma McNeil to four-year terms on the Richland Housing Authority Board; and a closed session for legal, real estate and contract matters.

Dixon R-I School Board
The Dixon R-I School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21, in the administration building. Agenda items include comments from visitors; new and unfinished business of selecting a long-distance carrier and grant issues; a superintendent’s report with a school board candidate filing update, board recognitions and reports from principals; and a closed meeting for student and personnel matters.
