Dixon passenger airlifted following Monday rollover wreck near Iberia
DIXON, Mo. (Dec. 1, 2009) — A Monday night crash north of the Pulaski-Miller county line sent a Dixon man to University Medical Center in Columbia via helicopter for treatment, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

Troopers reported that Dennis W. Anderson, 29, of Eldon, had been driving westbound on Highway 42 about 1.5 miles east of Highway 17 at 8:45 p.m. when he rounded a corner at a high rate of speed in his 2004 Ford, lost control, ran off the left side of the road, overturned, and struck a tree.

Anderson suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Lake Regional Medical Center in Osage Beach by private vehicle. His passenger, Matthew G. Schubert, 21, of Dixon, also suffered moderate injuries but was airliftd by Staff for Life Helicopter to Columbia.

Both people had been wearing their seat belts.

The vehicle was totaled and removed by Gene Whittle Towing of Iberia.
