Cook Named Legislative Intern for Rep. David Day
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - State Representative David Day (R-Dixon) announced today that Elizabeth Cook of Dixon, MO will be serving as his legislative intern for the 2009 session. Elizabeth is currently a junior at the University of Central Missouri, in Warrensburg.

“I have no doubt that Elizabeth will be a tremendous asset to me in the Capitol and to the citizens of the 148th District” Day said. During her internship, Elizabeth will be involved in every aspect of working in the capitol to include attending committee meetings, hearings, doing constituent work, just to name a few things.

Elizabeth is a Political Science Major at the University of Central Missouri and a 2006 graduate of Dixon High School. She has served as secretary of the Student Government Association and is currently carrying a 4.0 GPA.

Rep. Day went on to say “I look forward to working with Elizabeth; it will be great to have her in Jefferson City as the new session begins. Elizabeth will be the kind of person that you can give a project to and let her run with it”. Elizabeth is the daughter of Richard and Marilyn Cook of Dixon, MO.

Elizabeth will be serving as a part-time intern starting January 13, 2009. The 2009 Legislative session begins on January 7th, 2009 at noon.
