FAIRVIEW, Mo. (Oct. 5, 2009) — A motorcycle wreck on Highway 17 about six miles south of the Buckhorn exit on Interstate 44 seriously injured a Plato man, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

Troopers reported that Carlo J. Adame, 33, had been riding a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle southbound from the Waynesville area at 6:40 p.m. when he hit a deer in the roadway and ran off the right side of the roadway, at which point his motorcycle overturned and threw him off.

Adame, who had been wearing his helmet, was transported by Pulaski County Ambulance District personnel to General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital for treatment. His motorcycle was totaled and removed by Jack’s Towing.

Waynesville firefighters and Pulaski County deputies also assisted at the crash scene.
