Interstate 44 pickup rollover snarls Saint Robert traffic Tuesday afternoon

SAINT ROBERT, Mo. (Dec. 8, 2009) — A Tuesday afternoon rollover wreck snarled the passing lanes of both eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 44 just west of Exit 161 in front of Wal-Mart in St. Robert.

Based on preliminary information, St. Robert police and firefighters joined Pulaski County Ambulance District personnel and state troopers in responding about 2:43 p.m. to a report of a rollover wreck in the westbound lanes with a person ejected from the vehicle. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found a black Toyota Tacoma pickup truck overturned in the median and balanced on the cables between the traffic lanes.

No information is immediately available on the identity or extent of injuries of the motorist.

Jack’s Towing personnel were on the scene of the crash but had not yet begun remove the wreck.

This breaking story will be updated as information becomes available from emergency personnel.
