'After Dark' strip club owner charged with possessing cow drugs

Matt Wagner
PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. (Oct. 11, 2014) — Strippers and strip club patrons aren't supposed to look like cows, but according to court documents filed today, After Dark Gentlemen's Club owner Matt Wagner, 33, of Dixon, is being accused of possessing drugs intended for cattle. The single charge filed against him on Saturday is a Class C felony and carries a maximum penalty of two to seven years in state prison and a $5,000 fine.

Wagner, who was arrested at 2:30 a.m. today during a search of his strip club which took more than five hours and also led to arrests of other people for which charges have not yet been filed, is accused of having three vials of anabolic steroids in the club. Wagner is the registered agent for the club.

"These vials were multi-dose, not premeasured, liquid form," according to court documents filed by a Pulaski County Sheriff's detective. "The steroids were located in the office of Matt (Wagner) with several syringes. The steroids were to be used for cattle consumption, not human consumption."

Law enforcement personnel spoke with about 30 men and more than half a dozen women while searching the strip club. According to the detective, law enforcement personnel "spoke with all employees who advised they did not do drugs at the location and several who advised the office was Matt (Wagner)'s."
